Registration for Graduate Studies (MA) in Criminology for 2007
The Institute of Criminology in the Faculty of Law grants both MA and PhD degrees. The faculty and students of the Institute research a wide variety of topics, including, but not limited to: violence and fear of crime, family violence, police and policing, organized crime, white collar crime, women and crime, drug crimes, evaluation of punishment and treatment policy, imprisonment conditions, and terror.
There are five proposed MA tracks in the Institute:
- Academic track (intended for exceptional students)
- Combined program with the School of Social Work (MA granted in both fields)
- Combined BA/MA program (for exceptional BA students in the field of social science and law)
- Track for employees in the criminal justice system – Focus on law enforcement and rehabilitation policies
The Institute of Criminology accepts students who have a BA degree in many different fields, with an average of at least 80. Each of the five MA Program tracks are diverse and multi-disciplinary, and all provide a solid inter-disciplinary training in Criminology.
Students should register using the online Hebrew University Registration system.
Upon completion of registration, the following documents should be provided to Mrs. Yardena Shochat, the Secretary for Student Matters.

Mrs. Yardena Shochat, 02-588-2545, is available Sunday – Thursday, from 9:00 – 16:00 in the office of the Secretary for Student Matters of the Law Faculty. It is recommended that appointments are made in advance.
